Are You Being Called to Missions?

We continue to seek and welcome more disciples of Jesus Christ who are obediently responding to God’s call to make disciples of the nations and who are being sent as cross-cultural missionaries by the Holy Spirit, encouraged by local churches. Why indigenous North America? Reservations, isolated villages on rugged mountains and snow-capped communities lack one thing–a sustainable Gospel witness.

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

If God has called you to to be the Gospel witness for Native Americans, First Nations or indigenous people in North America, we want to encourage you to take the first step in faith and contact our Information and Communications office.

There are five stages to the process:

  1. The Applicant (pre-acceptance, application)

  2. The Candidate (pre-acceptance, interviews)

  3. The Missionary Appointee (pre-field assignment, support raising)

  4. The Field Missionary (two-year, first term)

  5. The Senior Missionary (long-term)

Be sure that you are in agreement with the Statement of Faith and Position Statements.

The process of becoming a missionary with UIM International involves a substantial investment of resources like time and finances. The process is a lengthy one from the time of initial application to the time of actual long-term missionary service.

Internships

Serve with Us as an Intern!

Serving overseas can be intimidating–we understand! If you’re feeling led to serve on the home front but not sure where you can make an impact, our internship can be customized for your school’s requirements. We offer a wide variety of mission fields where YOU can make a difference in the Kingdom. From social media to mission aviation, we are confident God can use you to make the Name above all names known to Native and Hispanics across North America.

Here’s what past interns had to say:

Nathan Rinne was able to see what life as a missionary pilot with a family is like while in Mexico. He saw that missionary families were not isolated but were connected to other believers by a common purpose and, in some cases, the ties of strong friendships. (Nathan Rinne's story here)

Kristi Fanning grew in the knowledge of Christ as her ultimate Counselor, Provider and Friend. He taught her about the evils of the spiritual realm, as well as that the power of Christ’s name is greater. (Read about Kristi Fanning's experience here)

Ready to take the next step in faith? Be sure that you are in agreement with the UIM Statement of Faith and Position Statements before contacting Renae at 623.847.9227 Ext. 301 to request an internship form. You may also message her here.
